A little nosh while you wait

My Japanese sweet potato post is in the works but requires some off-site photography, so while you’re waitin’ and anticipatin’, here’s a link to a terrific post from Eat Me Daily, on Food of the 1950s and Kitchens of the Future. I’d take quite a few of the features here in my Kitchen of the Eighties.

Nicolette, welcome to Texas! I’ve only been here three years myself. But my husband is Texan through and through, so it balances out.

There are a bunch of great Austin food blogs. Some of them are listed in my Blogroll. There are TONS listed on the Statesman’s website on the page for food writer Addie Broyles. Her blog is Relish Austin, and her blogroll is *extensive*. 🙂

And thanks for the nice words about my blog! Let me know how the cooking goes!

Thanks again. My boyfriend and I just moved back from development related jobs in a few different parts of Eastern Africa so I missed good old American cooking. I’m catching up with the 21st century so I’m like a kid in a candy store using the web thanks for all the links I’m just getting used to technology, I just joined facebook today! Welcome to a whole new world. I’ll be your faithful reader.
